Hershey's Restaurant

 Hershey's Restaurant

So this weekend i got a chance to try out one of Maryland's iconic restaurant's well at least for those who know of it. I went to the Hershey's Restaurant.... It was nice to find a hidden treasure and when you enter the house in which this place is located, you find yourself back in your grand parents old house. It had a old school home town cooking feeling. I ordered the fried Chicken and coleslaw... Now i must say that it has a nice crispy skin with a lot of favor; however what i didn't enjoy as much was the salty taste from the batter. I was a nice favor but it depends on how you like your chicken. P.S. their Fried Onion Rings kick *ss. Try it!!!!

I would that its a great place for a home cooked meal but be ready to wait 30mins for your chicken to be prepared. I still think the General Store in silver Spring has a upper hand.

Finding a cuban resturant in this area can become very easy, however truly dining on authentic cuban food is a completely different story. But i have found one in burtonsville, MD..
Ok aside from it being hidden it has some of the best cuban food in the area... NO Joke!! Ive been heading back to this place several times... Family Loves it.

the Empanadas has such great favor and cooked to a golden brown perfection. The other items like the shrimp platter was incredible. I would recommend checking this place out but the only downside is the price, so i would take advantage of the lunch specials... however it definitely has a returning customer

Top Things to EAT!!!
Garlic Lemon Shrimp
Grilled Chicken
Empanadas Chicken or Beef.. (cant go bad)

I had the famous fried chicken which i thought had a super tender juicy taste ( a mouth full rite) and the sides were definitely filling. I plan to head back soon and try their other items.. Ooo if you get a chance to stop by you must try any of their sweets... sugar high... :)

P.S. I have an Update!!! The General Store is Closed... Idk when their going to move but for the moment doors are closed
